We are on our way to Litchfield, Illinois. We will be visiting with family.
Tonight we are staying at www.NewFrontierRVPark.com
We are in Winnemucca, Nevada. I was born here as was my sister, Sally.
Winnemucca has grown quite a bit. This park is a newer park and well organized, clean and spacious.

It is HOT! and we are not used to that, but we will adjust.
I have packed the frig and cupboard with food as we are dealing with the Coronavirus Pandemic.
We decided to travel via our RV so that we could minimize our interactions with others to practice Social Distance as is recommended by CDC. We wear our masks when in company of others.
This so far, is working very well. We really do not have to interact with anyone!
I have brought MANY veggies from our garden.

We plan on traveling on East 80 to Illinois. On the way home we will head north and travel US Highway 2.

Our two schnauzers, Sunny (2 almost 3) and Bailey (7)  are traveling well. They just hang out in their beds in the back seat of the truck. Sunny comes up front every once in awhile to say hello. We are traveling around 5-8 hours a day and around 385 miles a day. Today was tricky because Highway 44 was closed due to a forest fire. We detoured, using 299 then 139 to Susanville. We got to Winnemucca by 5:00.

July 25th to July 31st; 150 Cemetery Lane - Les and Barb Packard

We had a nice visit with Les and Barb; Pam and Darrel. We arrived on Saturday around 4:00 or so. Les and Barb were sitting outside, waiting for us. Barb took a video of our arrival. Their property is beautiful and we had a beautiful spot for the RV and the dog pen. Barb showed me around right away; the trees she planted (magnolia that is beautiful); their little garden where they have carrots and beet greens; the swing overlooking the pond that Barb refinished. She also pointed out the poison ivy. Les got a patch of poison ivy rash because he considerately went down Cemetery lane, clearing branches and any other obstacles that would have caused possible issues. Inside, we got the grand tour of the downstairs. The Packards have been busy. We loved their sun room with the fine detail (the pine ceiling and the nice case wrapping with same around windows). Speaking of windows there are windows galore. Camo kitty likes to head to the sun room first thing in the morning to catch some rays....

July 23, 2020 Camp A Way; Lincoln, Nebraska

We are in Lincoln, Nebraska, having traveled 458 miles today, 8 hours. It actually was a pleasant drive through Nebraska, think corn fields and green. I continue to be surprised how much the COVID-19 has infiltrated everywhere. I was happy to see people masked up! We are at  Camp A Way It is a WONDERFUL RV Park as the pictures can attest. I was excited because the park was rated a 10 and the reviews supported that score. Every day, when we are on the road, I use Good Sam Trip planner. It shows us our route across I80. It also provides all the campgrounds available and distances between stops. I usually choose one, then put it in trip planner to see if it works, distance wise; then I check reviews. If it doesn't pass my bottom line, I start looking again. It has to be rated "8" and have decent reviews. I avoid parks that have long term residents, because I am a snob that way. Bryce Canyon: Queens Garden/Navajo Loop Trail (Day Two)

We had a great day (17,000 steps) in Bryce Canyon. We took the 3 mile Queen's Garden/Navajo Loop Trail that included many of the iconic vistas in the park. (First Picture)  We were on the trail by 9:00 in the morning. Good thing, because at almost 9000 elevation, the air is thin and your heart is working. The trail was pretty moderate, except for the ascent out of Wall Street Canyon. We stopped often, stayed hydrated and took (too many) pictures!  Indescribable is the only word that fits! I'm sharing pictures but just know that they only provide a glimpse into the beauty of Bryce Canyon. The trail was busier but still ok; many masked up as we passed each other; everyone was respectful of space.
